Confronting Religious Intolerance: Understanding, Challenging, and Respecting Each Other

  • Church of the Beatitudes 555 West Glendale Avenue Phoenix, AZ, 85021 United States (map)

The Arizona Faith Network, through its Theological Dialogue and Next Steps committees is sponsoring an interfaith dialogue event September 20th.

It will take place at the Church of the Beatitudes, 555 W Glendale Ave, Phoenix 85021.
A box supper will be available at 6:30pm for all who register and request one.
The event itself begins at 7pm, and lasts until 8:30pm.

The theme for discussion is:  "Confronting Religious Intolerance: Understanding, Challenging and Respecting Each Other.”

Come and participate in open dialogue where we will discuss: The reasons why we so often demonize others — The ways our faith traditions contribute to or challenge intolerance — Whether or not there are limits to tolerance — How we might resist in a constructive way. All faiths are welcome.

These events are opportunities for us to understand each other better, even if we don’t always agree. Dialogue with those of other faith traditions only strengthens your own faith, even as it gives opportunity for listening to the perspectives of others.
